The act of European “Anglo-Saxon” immigrants separating themselves from European governments and establishing their own rule is what is being celebrated as “Independence.” However, when viewed from the philosophical perspective of “independence for whom and from whom,” the question arises whether this can be called “Independence” or “Swaraj” (self-rule) in the true sense. Have the native inhabitants of the American land truly received independence? Has their culture received recognition? Is their own “Swaraj” ever possible? There is no one to honestly answer these questions.
July 4th is the Independence Day of America (USA). This year, that nation celebrates the completion of 250 years. To what heights has this landmass grown, which was considered a European colony even in the 1770s! Even after 1776, it has witnessed many ups and downs. It has endured external wars. A country that was considered the world’s sole superpower for many years by appeasing certain nations and regimes while suppressing many others.
Over the past 250 years, America’s charisma, military power, and global dominance have grown significantly. In the last 100 years, with the help of countless scientists, entrepreneurs, and technologists from other countries, it has also come to the forefront in science and technology.
Although it is currently ahead in military power and technology, economic challenges are increasing. In a multipolar world, its charisma is slowly declining. Its external debt is as massive as a mountain, standing at 37 trillion dollars. The importance of the American dollar is facing a decline.
Even during the celebration of 250 years of independence, a major confusion is evident over who the true citizens and heirs of that country are. Excluding whites of Anglo-Saxon background, everyone else is being labeled as “immigrants” or “illegal immigrants.”
The argument of President Donald Trump’s Republican followers is that America is originally a “Christian country” and everything non-Christian is an external invasion.
In contrast, there is also an argument that “America belongs to no one, or it belongs to everyone. It is a country built together by various kinds of immigrants.” Democratic liberals have launched a “struggle” in support of illegal immigrants.

Following Columbus’s voyage in 1492, there have been waves of many migrations. Among these, there is a perception that only Anglo-Saxon migrations are “valid.” There is a feeling that the country belongs to those who plundered it first, and everyone who came later is “just an immigrant.” Others are looked down upon.
Intriguingly, for the majority of people flourishing in America today, it is not their “motherland”! They do not share an umbilical connection spanning thousands of years with that land. A massacre of the indigenous people was carried out, and the remaining natives have been systematically suppressed. Only the sentiment that it is a “Promised Land” belonging to the European Christian imperialist immigrants of the 18th century (and earlier) remains strong. There is no feeling of a motherland.
While this kind of racism is growing on one side, on the other side, national concepts are being undermined through continuous brainwashing by liberal arguments such as liberalism, internationalism, globalism, open borders, and multiculturalism. Global jihadist forces seem to have joined hands with liberal forces to utilize this for their own benefit.

They have started sharpening their swords against the talented technocrats from other countries who have built America so far. Restoring “Anglo-Saxon” dominance has been made the primary goal of the “MAGA” movement.
Meanwhile, can it be said that those who left their homelands to join America yearn for America with the deep affection of “this country is my mother”? A bizarre situation has been created inside America where no one is left to weep, saying, “Alas, this happened to my country.” Their entire life culture has become like a “contract” or a “deal”!

America’s society has not been stable since the 16th century. Slavery was legally permitted in many states until 1865. Slaves generally meant Black African people, and sometimes native people. According to the 1860 American census, the total population of the 15 states where slavery was legal was 12 million, out of which 4 million people were slaves!
In every white family, there used to be about 10 Black slaves. Black people were captured and brought from Africa. They were made to stand on the streets like cattle and auctioned publicly. According to one statistic, during the period from the 16th to the 19th century, whites had captured and transported around 2 million people from Africa to the North and South American continents. This fiendish situation was eradicated by the 16th President, Abraham Lincoln. Yet, when India gained independence, there were still no equal civil rights in America. Civil and human rights equal to those of white people were denied to Black people.
Even though two centuries had passed since the American Constitution came into existence, slavery continued in one way or another. The reason this racial discrimination was wiped out in the 1960s was the relentless struggle led by Martin Luther King Jr.
America, which creates racial divisions and subversive activities in other countries by spreading various forms of propaganda through the CIA (Central Intelligence Agency), has itself become like a tree infested with the termites of “ideologies,” gradually hollowing out from within. This is another reality of the past 250 years.
It has now been 161 years since America’s great civil war ended. The same number of years have passed since slavery was abolished. Yet, the family system there is more shattered now than ever before. Old racial discrimination is sprouting again. Slavery continues unofficially. According to some reports, even today, 50,000 to 100,000 people, especially women and children, are illegally and forcibly brought into America every year and subjected to covert slavery. They are forced into sexual activities. The Jeffrey Epstein scandal holds up a mirror to the dark face of countless influential figures in America.
Following the terrorist incident of 2001 (9/11), the happenings of that country have taken strange turns. Old religious and political arguments have taken a new shape, gained a revival, and come to the forefront. Now, Islamic forces are also growing strongly inside America. Although Christian imperialism has been dense, communism has also grown in various forms. Currently, it is flourishing under the name of “Wokism” (Critical Race Theory).

Three decades ago, it felt as though all the forces challenging America had vanished. In 1991-92, the Soviet Union collapsed completely, bringing an “official” end to the Cold War. China was not yet considered the giant of Asia. Economic reforms had just begun in India. India had gone bankrupt, pledging its gold. Although Japan was economically secure, it remained dependent on America as a military power. Additionally, in West Asia, Saddam Hussein was shattered by war. The Saudi King could do nothing without America’s obligation.
When the situation was such, if asked “How will the world move forward?”, what could be said? Many thought like this:
“All forces challenging America are weak; America is the sole powerful nation in the world; the world has become ‘unipolar’; under American leadership, a conflict-free and follower-civilization will progress in the world.”
In the 1990s, most people did not predict that identity politics would take a very intense form on a global level. Even those familiar with terrorism believed that it would not become a global problem; they trusted that even if it challenged other nations, America would remain safe. Francis Fukuyama praised this as the “End of History,” further building up America’s “unipolar” concept.
“A clash of civilizations will take place in the world. Islamic forces will pose a severe threat to the West,” wrote Prof. Samuel Huntington in 1993. It triggered a huge debate. Many condemned him. Later, in 1998, he wrote a massive book titled The Clash of Civilizations and the Remaking of World Order. His proposition was that in the post-Cold War era, people’s religious and cultural identities would become the cause of global-level conflicts, and Islamic fundamentalism in particular would turn out to be a major problem.
Many reacted by saying, “All that is impossible; is defeating a great power like America child’s play? Which external force could possibly achieve that?” However, they forgot the dimension of “internal forces.” Even Huntington failed to factor in the severity of internal challenges.
Now, an anxiety and a question have arisen in America and Europe whether “Western civilization” is collapsing. Europe is shattered by the unrest caused by millions of Muslim immigrants. An anxiety has gripped the people there that within the next 25 years, it might lose its character and turn into an Arab colony.
In America, “open border” Democratic liberals are working in favor of Islamic forces. Zohran Mamdani, who won the New York City Mayor election, is being praised as if he is the President of America itself.
All spheres in America are divided in the name of “Left” and “Right” factions. “Antifa” and the “Democratic Left” have occupied the mainstream. The “Neocon” and “Republican Right” are attempting to stage a reactive competition against it.
Since the emergence of the software sector, a massive army of new “Leftist-Liberal ideological billionaires” has risen. They too are divided into ‘Left’ and ‘Right’, and are ready to invest any amount of money in projects that suit their respective ideologies.
Funding has flowed into many American universities and media houses from questionable sources such as China and Saudi Arabia. It is said that a fierce friction between ‘Left-Right’ factions is also taking place inside the notorious CIA, which has historically formulated various devious plans to swallow and engulf the entire world.
Many former CIA directors and agents have written books about their agency. Many of its controversial acts have come up for public debate. How many heads it might have, how many hats it might wear, or whether there are any other invisible heads, is the real mysterious problem.
According to many security analysts, the CIA and Pakistan’s ISI have together nurtured quite a few jihadist organizations; there is still a large and influential section inside the CIA that opposes pro-India stances. Since the ISI and CIA know each other’s secrets, it is difficult for America to completely shake off Pakistan, which is stuck to its body.
This is a game where one does not know which snake resides in which anthill. WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange had caused immense embarrassment to America by ‘leaking’ documents showing that “ISIS is also America’s creation.”
According to documents released by Edward Snowden in 2013, it was revealed that the American intelligence agency NSA had conducted digital espionage and data collection against users worldwide who use smartphones and computers. Later, it came to light that Germany’s intelligence agency BND had joined hands with the NSA to spy on other European countries. Who knows how many such devious espionage games America has played? And how many it continues to play even now?
America itself has openly declared on several occasions that it has tracked down and killed many people in foreign countries. For example, Osama bin Laden, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, and the Iranian military official Soleimani. Covert operations are countless. “Only I should do what I am doing; other countries have no such right” is America’s arrogant stance. It has maintained the position from the very beginning that if it does it, it is a security operation, but if others do it, it is assassination.
What controversial actions America has taken, what secret misdeeds it has committed, how many secret agreements and commitments it holds, how many homes it has ruined, and how many governments it has toppled have always been matters of intense debate.
It is impossible for any new president to read all the secret files detailing what past presidents have done. Even if he (since America is yet to see a female president!) set out to read only the files within his immediate sight, a lifetime would not suffice! There isn’t enough time to grasp how far its links extend, or to comprehend what consequences could arise from changing them. America’s ledger of misdeeds is that extensive.
